The Republican-led House will take up a measure this week that would conditionally shut down the National Labor Relations Board in a move aimed at stopping President Obama from tilting the panel too far to the political left.

White House budget chief Peter R. Orszag said Tuesday that he will step down next month, positioning him to be the first high-profile member of President Obama's team to depart the administration.
"CT scans are very useful, but they also have relatively high doses of radiation, when compared to X-rays," said Mark Pearce of Newcastle University, the study's lead author, at a press briefing Wednesday.
He said CT scans were warranted in most situations but more needed to be done to reduce the amount of radiation.
