In the April 17 editorial "Sticky regulatory throttle," The Washington Times makes the assumption that it is possible to depress a car's accelerator at the same time as the brake. You should try it. In the four different makes of car that I have examined, in not one is it possible to depress the brake far enough to even make contact with the accelerator with the same foot, let alone depress it.
