ASSOCIATED PRESS A Nissan Leaf charges at a station in Portland, Ore. The Oregon Department of Transportation announced Thursday that 22 fast-charging stations will be built next year in the northwestern corner of the state, allowing drivers of electric cars to extend their travel into the country.
