Seventy-plus prominent Republicans have signed on to a legal brief they will file with the U.S. Supreme Court in favor of gay marriage.
The meanest words you can throw at two-term New York Rep. Michael Arcuri are that he has gone Washington.
To be sure, Mr. Arcuri has a perplexing opponent in the blunt-talking Mr. Hanna, who refuses to criticize Mr. Obama or House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and says the Republican Party's conservative positions on social issues are out of step with most Americans.
"Everyone I meet feels disenfranchised - they feel their representatives have abandoned them. What Arcuri has done is prove those people right. He's just added to the cynicism," Mr. Hanna said.
