Atlanta Braves right fielder Jason Heyward has had an appendectomy.
Manager Fredi Gonzalez said there was no set timetable for Heyward's return. The Braves recalled infielder Tyler Pastornicky from Triple A Gwinnett to fill Heyward's roster spot.
