The game felt lost, like so many others. Then, for an instant, Roy Helu seemed to float. And the Washington Redskins rookie transformed the raw afternoon where wind and miscues and seagulls swirled around CenturyLink Field and provided the team something as rare as a dry day here.
The NFL unlocked its gates and opened its doors Friday, allowing players to get back to football for the first time in nearly two months.
"I was geeked; I had to get back," he said.
"It's time to get started, get this ball rolling," Seattle special teams captain Roy Lewis said.
