A Utah State basketball player who collapsed at practice and had to be revived after he stopped breathing is improving and making good progress, school officials said Wednesday night, although the player remains in critical condition.
Starting second baseman Jason Kipnis and veterans Lou Marson and Shelley Duncan are among 12 players signed to one-year contracts for 2012 by the Cleveland Indians on Friday.
The Mountain West Conference will not expand further to include either Utah State or San Jose State.
