"It seems like in the past five years, maybe, 10 years, everybody throws hard. It's not enough to run it up in the mid-to-upper 90s anymore," he said.

"However it shakes out, you're getting a really good, experienced guy in that role, and leading up to that (ninth inning). From the sixth inning on, you've got a closer-type guy coming into the game," he said.
