'Your papers, please' must never be heard in America
Ian Poulter was still in the holiday spirit with the Tournament of Champions looming, and he didn't decide until Tuesday whether to open his season in Hawaii. He reluctantly packed his bags and didn't have high hopes for the first tournament of the year.
"We are not terribly concerned about it," said Steve Shannon, vice president of marketing for Hyundai. "I think there is that aspect of it's the start of the year, so even if it's literally not the first PGA Tour event, there's something about the start of the year, and there's something about this location."
"We are very bullish," Steve Shannon said.
