The president's men trash the Constitution to pursue antagonists

UNESCO's World Heritage committee has voted to approve a Palestinian bid to place the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem on its list of sites of World Heritage in Danger.
A United Nations organization on Tuesday delayed awarding a controversial "life sciences" prize named for Equatorial Guinea's strongman, Teodoro Obiang.
"UNESCO is very concerned about the reports coming out of Timbuktu as to damage on cultural heritage there," said Sue Williams, UNESCO chief spokesperson, on the phone from Paris.
"We're following the situation very closely, and we are in constant contact with the Malian and French authorities on the ground."
