    WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was released on bail Thursday _ confined to a supporter's 600-acre estate but free to get back to work spilling U.S. government secrets on his website as he fights Sweden's attempt to extradite him on allegations of rape and molestation.

    The once-elusive Julian Assange was freed on bail Thursday, releasing the WikiLeaks founder to continue his work as Sweden pushes its case for extradition and the United States considers its own criminal charges over his website's release of secret information.

    WikiLeaks founder Julian P. Assange is to remain in a London jail until at least Thursday since Swedish authorities said they would appeal a British judge's decision to grant him bail with strict conditions.
