Facing an 0-3 deficit to the surging San Antonio Spurs, the Los Angeles Lakers probably will run out of games in their season before they run out of healthy players.

Duncan sprained his left knee and right ankle in the first half, but the Spurs went on to a 96-86 win over the Washington Wizards on Saturday night for their 10th consecutive victory.

Late Monday night, the U.S. men's Olympic basketball team boarded a plane for London, after defeating the Brazilian national team 80-69 at Verizon Center. The game provided the perfect finale for three days of military-themed events for Team USA in the nation's capital.

Tony Parker scored 28 points and the San Antonio Spurs won their first playoff opener in four years, beating the Utah Jazz 106-91 in Game 1 of their first-round series Sunday.

Tim Duncan is on crutches and the San Antonio Spurs don't know when he'll be back.
