    Hairston's blunder fells Nats

    Carlos Beltran had taken Nationals' left-hander Tom Gorzelanny deep twice already when he stepped to the plate in the top of the sixth, but it was his routine fly ball that stayed in the park that did the most damage Saturday night.

    Nats make Gorzelanny deal official, sign Hairston

    The Washington Nationals finalized their trade to acquire left-hander Tom Gorzelanny from the Chicago Cubs for three minor league prospects on Wednesday, and also agreed to terms with utility player Jerry Hairston Jr.
