    Hungary sludge reservoir at risk of collapse

    The cracking wall of an industrial plant reservoir appeared on the verge of collapse late Saturday, and engineers were working to blunt a possible second wave of the caustic red sludge that has already deluged several towns in western Hungary and killed seven.

    Hungary: Toxic red sludge reaches the Danube

    The toxic red sludge that burst out of a Hungarian factory's reservoir and inundated three villages reached the mighty Danube on Thursday after wreaking havoc on smaller rivers and creeks, an emergency official said.
