A judge denied an effort Wednesday by lawyers for a Connecticut man charged with killing a woman and her two daughters in a home invasion to reopen their defense based on letters from a co-defendant claiming he had committed numerous murders in the past. The case then went to the jury.
A doctor whose wife and two daughters were killed in a home invasion told jurors Tuesday that he was attacked with a baseball bat in the middle of the night and described how he fell, crawled and rolled in his frantic escape to a neighbor's house.
