Dancing mascots liven up the Games

← return to Blog of the Rings

BEIJING -- Ok, these two videos are just too cute. First is the dancing mascots of the Olympic Games performing during a women's basketball match between Russia and Belarus

Beibei is the Fish, Jingjing is the Panda, Huanhuan is the Olympic Flame, Yingying is the Tibetan Antelope and Nini is the Swallow. When you put their names together – Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni – it means, "Welcome to Beijing."

I shot the second video outside the Olympic baseball stadium, where the mascot for the Chinese Taipei baseball team performed before an adoring crowd.
