Good news about Dmitri

Here's some unexpected good news: Dmitri Young has gotten his diabetes under control and has been cleared to begin baseball activities this weekend.

According to GM Jim Bowden, Young (who was placed on the DL after the All-Star break when his blood sugar level spiked) is scheduled to report to Melbourne, Fla., tomorrow evening to start getting into baseball shape.

"His diabetes is under control," Bowden said in a statement. "We are hopeful that he will be able to contribute to the Nationals' major league team in September."

That would be quite a positive and uplifting development for a team that has been beseiged by so much negativity this season.
