Nats in the AZ Fall League

← return to Chatter

The Arizona Fall League schedule commences tomorrow, with several Nationals farmhands participating and hoping this experience helps spur them toward a spot on the big-league roster next spring. The AFL usually boasts many of the top upper-level prospects in the game, often guys who are just on the cusp of reaching the majors or perhaps those who missed time during the season due to injury and need the extra at-bats. The Nationals are affiliated with the Peoria Saguaros (that's a kind of cactus, for those who don't know). They're joined by the Cardinals, Mets, White Sox and Padres in filling out the roster. I'll try to provide some updates as the league's seven-week season plays out, but to get started here are this fall's participating Nats...
