Wagner re-assigned to minors

The Nationals' promised postgame roster moves consisted of just one cut: Reliever Ryan Wagner was re-assigned to minor-league camp. Wagner, who was on a nonguaranteed, minor-league deal, was hoping to convince team officials he has come all the way back from his 2007 shoulder surgery, but he posted a 5.14 ERA in six appearances (all four runs he allowed came in one outing). Wagner will most likely wind up at Class AAA Syracuse, though his contract does have an "out" clause that would allow him to become a free agent if he's not promoted to the big-league roster by a certain date (my apologies for not knowing the exact date, I believe it's either May 1 or June 1). The move leaves 36 players still in camp. Obviously, that number has to be trimmed to 25 by Sunday.
