Welcome to the Civil War Community at The Washington Times. Home for many years to the Civil War Page on Saturdays, the Times wants to help keep your interest going in the 1861-1865 era. Whether you call it the War of Northern Aggression, the War for Southern Independence, or the War Between the States, for simplicity we're using "Civil War" as a handle, so all you Rebels calm down!

Probabaly the most interesting, most unique and most opinionated war era of our history, this war still commands discussion and debate on all levels, and we are ready for your input. We just ask that you "keep it civil" as you discuss, write, or talk about it.
