Edwin Williams: ACC offensive lineman of the week

← return to D1SCOURSE

Maryland center Edwin Williams was named the ACC's offensive lineman of the week after the Terrapins rolled up 195 yards rushing and 336 total yards in Saturday's 17-15 defeat of North Carolina.

In retrospect, those numbers are a little unfair. Take out the botched punt snap in the first quarter, and Maryland has 237 yards rushing and 378 total yards. The running game in particular was impressive.

Williams played all 85 snaps for Maryland, as he often does. We don't receive total snap counts for each game, but it's probably a safe bet the senior ranks among the top five on the roster --- if he isn't alone at No. 1.

The other ACC honorees:

Offensive back: TB C.J. Spiller, Clemson
Defensive lineman: DE Marcus Robinson, Miami
Defensive back: S Marcellus Bowman, Boston College
Special teams: P/K Matt Bosher, Miami
Rookie: QB Russell Wilson, N.C. State
