Maryland injury report

← return to D1SCOURSE

Pretty much no surprises this week. There’s no one new that’s done for the year, and no one that’s been contributing this season that won’t play this week.

The most notable name on the “out” list is wideoutLaQuan Williams, whose foot injury has caused him to be lost in the shuffle all season. The fact that, a post ago, I listed 15 Terps who have been targeted on third down and Williams wasn’t one of them is telling.

He still has two seasons to make a difference, and chances are he’ll be useful at some point (especially after flashing some promise last fall).

It  just won’t be Saturday against Florida State.

Also, walk-on Andrew Gonnella is out with a concussion. That likely bumps Lamar Young up to second-string behind Jaimie Thomas.

Out for Season:

CB Kevin Barnes (shoulder)
T Tyler Bowen (foot)
WR Kevin Dorsey (foot)
S Dominique Herald (knee)
FB Paul Lariviere (knee)
LB Ben Pooler (knee)
CB Richard Taylor (knee)
DL Joe Vellano (shoulder)

Out:

LB Louis Berman (leg)
G Andrew Gonnella (concussion)
WR LaQuan Williams (foot)

Patrick Stevens
