It stands to reason a line with 11 assists and zero turnovers would mean a player generally presided over good times on the floor.
So it was tonight withEric Hayes.
The junior had one of his best games at Maryland as the Terps beat back Virginia 84-78 at Comcast Center.
An instant classic, it was not. But between a couple early open 3-pointers and some crisp passing later on, Hayes was precisely what Maryland needed.
There’s no reason to get overly giddy about things; this was a victory over a team now under .500 overall. But Hayes’ play was one of the more encouraging signs from the night.
