As mentioned yesterday afternoon, Maryland forward Jerome Burney did work out for about 10 minutes before the Terrapins' game against Virginia.
Turns out it was Burney's third such workout.
As encouraging as that is for him, he's trying to remain patient as his stress fracture in his right foot.
"It's still very sore," Burney said. "It's like the first time you lifted in a month. You try to do the weights you do normally, and that's what it feels like. I hope it doesn't get anywhere near where it was before, but we'll have to see how long it takes. Right now, there's only so much I can do. After that ..."
You can pretty much guess what happens after that. And it isn't good.
So the wait continues for the genial Burney, who has missed the last 10 games.
