A shorter session with Ralph Friedgen today, and I'll get to some of the highlights eventually after working on an offbeat story for tomorrow's dead-tree edition.
But Ralph had some business to take care of at the start this morning --- namely pointing out three stars of camp so far.
In order...
1. Chris Turner: "He's really done a great job of seeing things, setting the defense, using his cadence and making decisions. I'm really pleased with how he's playing."
2. Kenny Tate: "He's having a sensational camp. He's all over the place. He's intercepting passes and sacking guys. Don [Brown]'s got him blitzing and covering. Every time you look up, he's making a play."
3. Adrian Cannon: "He's far and above all the receivers we have right now. He's just separated himself. He makes a lot of plays. He's a big, strong, physical kid and adjusts to the ball."
Those are certainly three guys whose production is good for Maryland. The Terps could use quite a few more to emerge before the Sept. 5 opener.
