Turner 'questionable' for Virginia Tech

Maryland coach Ralph Friedgen wasn't particularly open describing Chris Turner's status for this week's game against Virginia Tech during his Sunday teleconference.

Turner injured his left knee in the second quarter of yesterday's loss at N.C. State. Friedgen said yesterday it was an MCL sprain.

"Chris is still questionable," Friedgen said. "There's a chance, but we'll have to see."

And when will he be evaluated? (not my question)

"I'm sure we'll evaluate him each and every day," Friedgen said.

Was there an MRI exam done today? (my question)

"No," Friedgen said.

So at least in that regard, today did not reveal a whole lot that wasn't already known about Turner's status for this week or the rest of the season.
