BWI AIRPORT, CONCOURSE B --- I arrived just in time to watch a latter day Monty Hall at work.
A couple was desperate to scrounge up an extra seat on a flight to Fort Lauderdale. They approached everyone within sight, and came up to me while I was setting up my laptop.
A free flight and $300 cash sounds intriguing. Sadly, I was out of stock of what they were buying.
So the gate on their flight is shut, and they're still talking with the gate agents.
If only they were headed for Raleigh, and then on to Winston-Salem.
That's the official D1scourse itinerary, with visits to get some tasty treats (Cheerwine! Stamey's!) only Tobacco Road can offer.
More to come later in the day, but for now it's time to hop on a flight.
--- Patrick Stevens
