Terps not last in turnover margin --- but closing

To answer the day's most pertinent question --- that is, has Maryland finally taken a spot at the bottom of the country in turnover margin --- let's turn to the NCAA's stats page.

That answer, by the way, is no.

Maryland is merely 118th in turnover margin, two rungs from the bottom among all major-college teams.

The Terps are -13 (or -1.86 a game) for the year. Qualitatively, that trumps Nevada (-2.00) and Miami, Ohio (-2.86).

Quantitatively, it is better than only transfer Clay Belton's old school, which has rolled up a -20 margin in seven games in an almost unthinkable whirlwind of giveaways.
