Hey everybody, Im looking forward to seeing the more than 90,000 of you who will be at Fedex Field on Sunday. This is going to be a very special game for me. Yeah, Art and I will receive our Hall of Fame rings in front of the Redskins faithful, but I also get to see our Skins take care of the Cowboys once and for all. The last time we got together like this was December 26, 2002, my last day in burgundy and gold. On that great day we not only beat Dallas but I had the pleasure of shaking hands with many of you and thanking you for 20-years of supporting my career. That last lap around the field was my greatest memory on that day. Well, guess what? Im doing it again! This Sunday at Fedex Field, Art and I will have three memorabilia stations set up from 4pm to 8pm just outside Gate D, the Bank of America Gate and the Sprint Gate. Between 5:30pm-7pm I will personally visit each station and try to greet as many of you as possible. If you plan on showing up to the game early, please stop by and say hello. Also, for those of you who have been asking how to get signed Art and/or Darrell merchandise, this is your chance because we have signed tons of stuff that will be available at those stations.

Go Skins and I hope to see you on Sunday!!!

P.S fyi, I've been off line over the last few days because on Tuesday November 11, 2008 my oldest brother suddenly passed away from a massive heart attack down in our hometown of Houston, Texas. I will be heading back to the DC area this weekend to attend the Redskins game and then returning back to Houston for the services to be held on Monday and Tuesday of next week, so forgive me for not responding to your latest comments, but please stay in touch i appreciate your thoughts.

Darrell, My dearest condolences to you and your family during your time of loss. We are human and mourning the loss of a loved one is ok. And because you are human too, off the football field anyway, I certainly hope you feel it is okay for you to mourn too. Likewise, just as we mourn our loss (because we are human and this morning is us being selfish for OUR loss) I know you and that you will be happy that your brother has joined our dear lord and savior Jesus Christ in heaven. I join you in prayer as a brother in Christ from far away: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours. Now and for ever. Amen

I am sorry for your loss Darrell. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. I'm sure he'll be watching this weekend as you receive your ring, and smiling down on his bro. Take care DG, Best wishes.

Darrell: I am sorry about your oldest brother. How old was he? I feel that I am so attached to the Redskins family. Maybe this will cheer you up. About 17 years ago, about as much time I've been in denial that the Redskins haven't been the same, I went to Redskins park in the summer and got to play you one-on-one in this crazy machine game where you take this grip of this metal fighter/boxer and go at the next person. I don't remember what happened but I remember that winning feeling and kind of never forgot about the Redskins. Okay, honestly, I never forget about them 24/7 because they and no one else, have this affect on me. I really do believe that when they win the big one, I will finally be uplifted enough to be fully spirited. I just haven't been the same since 1991. How they go, I go. And that day, actually in the summer of 1991, I wanted to keep playing you in that game and you were like that's enough kid. I smile because maybe that's where my lesson comes from about contentment in life. I hope that you got to have memorable and great days with your oldest brother. Brian S. in Florida now.
