Rain check anyone

If you are like me, I bet you felt the hype then the let down of this past season. It’s like being the guy who finally got a tee time at one of the most awesome golf courses in your area. You get so excited that you call two of your old golfing buddies to give them the good news, telling them: “Hey guys! Guess what? We are playing hooky from work on Friday. We've got a 7:50am tee time with a member at Robert Trent Jones Country Club.” Wow! Of course your buddies are as excited as you are and you wait in eager anticipation. Finally the day arrives, and what do you know…RAIN!

This season was just like that. So when I think about how this year’s Redskins team gave us such high hopes for a successful season, only to be taken away in a flash with a five week skid, I am willing to except Sunday's Philly win and a win on this Sunday against the lowly 49ers as a nice way for them to offer us all a rain check for what is to be a guaranteed playoff appearance in ‘09. Deal?

the skins are like an old restaurant that can't quite seem to get it right any more---the new reliable chain restaurants are moving in and they are making all the right moves. they've tried new cooks, new menu, change prices, redecorate, etc. But they're just not makin the cut. They don't need a new menu and some great specials with fancy names and high prices---they need to blow up the entire building and start over. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year DG, maybe you could hook your top commentor (me) up with 2 tickets to the Super Bowl in Tampa to watch Carolina v Tennessee! but wouldn't it be crazy to see the Manning bros in a match up of the last two Super Bowl champs? who do you think is going?
