Rain check anyone

If you are like me, I bet you felt the hype then the let down of this past season. It’s like being the guy who finally got a tee time at one of the most awesome golf courses in your area. You get so excited that you call two of your old golfing buddies to give them the good news, telling them: “Hey guys! Guess what? We are playing hooky from work on Friday. We've got a 7:50am tee time with a member at Robert Trent Jones Country Club.” Wow! Of course your buddies are as excited as you are and you wait in eager anticipation. Finally the day arrives, and what do you know…RAIN! This season was just like that. So when I think about how this year’s Redskins team gave us such high hopes for a successful season, only to be taken away in a flash with a five week skid, I am willing to except Sunday's Philly win and a win on this Sunday against the lowly 49ers as a nice way for them to offer us all a rain check for what is to be a guaranteed playoff appearance in ‘09. Deal?
