David Albert welcomed

By KATE TSUBATA on Sept. 10, 2008 into Home School Galaxy

Some 40 homeschoolers gathered at the Washington Times to hear from author and speaker David Albert, hailing from  the "other Washington" (Washington State).  We had a wonderful chance to hear from him, a proud "empty nest" homeschool dad, whose two daughters Aliyah and Meera are now in university, but continue to follow their own independent learning paths too.

We'll be posting photos and excerpts from the event, but wanted to express thanks to all of you who came.  Most of all, a big thanks to Jacqui Kubin and Joe Szadowski (and homeschooled son, Jared) and the Times editors David Eldridge and Jeffrey Lea, as well as Managing Editor John Solomon, who came by to share the new vision of the Times.

it was a great boost for the Home School Galaxy and we're so thankful for the support of the Times for home education.
