Borders Supports Homeschooling

Hey everyone...I wanted to let everyone know about some upcoming events at area Borders. They have decided to start more family oriented events.

This Saturday, Sept. 27...Kid's fun day..2-4pm.. There will be story times, scavenger hunts, craft activities and lots of fun. Activities will vary by location, so be sure to check your local store to see what they have planned. O

ct. 3-5th...Border' s Educators Weekend...This weekend, educators/homeschoo lers can get 25% off thier entire purchase (magazines are excluded and it can't be combined with some special offers) instead of the usual 20% off classroom items. This means you can shop for the holidays, buy that cookbook you've wanted, pick up that new novel and you'll get 25% off all of it.

To qualify for the discount you will need either your Border's educators card or proof of homeschooling status (umbrella membership, copy of letter of intent, membership card for HDLA, etc.).

Oct. 25th...Super Spooktacular. ..Borders will be celebrating fall and Halloween with an instore family event. Stories, games, songs, crafts and lots of fun! And just some FYI...all Borders currently have a display of marked down, single copy bargin books. These are going for 50% off thier bargin prices so you can find some really wonderful books there for a couple of bucks. New stock is added to that section all the time and I always find something great there, especially for science and history. Hoping everyone has a wonderful, if rainy weekend.

... Annie
