The Caps just provided a more clear update on the Alex Ovechkin injury situation. Officially, Ovechkin is out "week-to-week with an upper-body strain."
He will travel with the team to New Jersey and Florida this week to continue recieving treatment on the injury. It certainly looks like Ovechkin could miss more than just Wednesday's game at this point. Ovechkin has never missed more than one game at a time because of injury and never more than two in a row for any reason.
Ovechkin could be a quick healer, but in past seasons the Caps haven't called someone week-to-week unless it was a pretty serious injury.
