After a day off, the Caps are back to work here at K-Plex in Arlington. Alexandre Giroux is here and has been officially recalled from Hershey. He is skating on the top line with Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom.
Shaone Morrisonn (concussion) is on the ice, but Alexander Semin is not -- Bruce Boudreau had said Wednesday that he expected him back today. None of the other injured guys (Knuble, Gordon, Poti and Laing).
The other guy not practicing is Tyler Sloan, UPDATE: A team official said Sloan has returned home to Calgary to attend to a personal matter.
Here are the lines:
Ovechkin-Backstrom-Giroux
Laich-Morrison-Fehr
Fleischmann-Perreault-Clark
Beagle-Steckel-Bradley
Karl Alzner is still here, so there are seven defesemen (Green, Morrisonn, Pothier, Erskine, Jurcina, Schultz and Alzner) at practice today.
