Some of the Caps are on the ice for a pretty informal practice today. Most of the top players (Ovechkin, Backstrom, Semin, Green, Poti, Knuble, Theodore) are not on the ice.
Also missing are Boyd Gordon (back) and Quintin Laing (flu). Bruce Boudreau said yesterday that he expected Gordon to be back for practice today. He's missed five games with this back problem.
Eric Fehr is on the ice. He missed last night with an upper-body injury. So is Tomas Fleischmann, who played two games for Hershey this past weekend on a conditioning stint. Fleischmann hasn't been activated (as of right now).
Alexandre Giroux has been sent back to Hershey. Giroux had one goal in three games.
More after practice.
