PHOENIX -- A Palin Burger?

Superstar Gov. Sarah Palin spent Wednesday poolside at the luxurious Biltmore Hotel Resort and Spa, surrounded by her children, would-be "first dude" (aka husband Todd), and a slew of family and friends.

Dressed in a pair of gym shorts, a Pittsburgh Penguins T-shirt and some big, dark sunglasses, the Alaska governor drew a nonstop flow of the curious, and graciously posed for photos with fans bold enough to speak to her (some poolgoers simply stopped by, took a few snaps and left)

Her unruly mob of children, led by the precocious Piper, 7, spent much of the day slipping down a huge water slide. "Piper! Piper!" the other kids yelled as she led a gang up the steps to the top of the slide. They hardly slowed for lunch, and apparently, the governor over-ordered...

(Palin's sister walked over to your blogster and said,

"Do you by any chance want a cheeseburger? Sarah ordered way too much food and I hate to see it go to waste." Your blogster ate said burger, dubbed by another reporter on hearing the story a "Palin Burger." No, it wasn't moose).

Palin was also working hard -- she shuffled through files and papers throughout the afternoon, sitting under a large umbrella. But she jumped up for more pictures when more onlookers strolled up, holding the files to one side, out of the photo, and was all smiles as she made small talk ("Oh, you're from Chicago? Great!").

Daughter Bristol, 17, who is pregnant, was also poolside. Her very large belly was barely covered by a T-shirt that had the outline of Alaska on one side and the outline of Texas on the other. The text below said: "Size Matters."

I don't know how others feel, but I know that I will not miss the chalk on the blackboard tone of Sarah Palin. I won't miss her glib hillbilly cliches and her "you betcha's" and "gosh darn's" and "heck yeses'" I'm looking forward to clear concise speech with some intelligence behind the meaning. I don't know about the rest of America, but I feel like a cool canyon breeze just came across our intellectually parched America. Good-bye Sarah, and please do not let the door hit you on the way out.

SARAH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WERE A BREATHE OF FRESH AIR TO THE THE WASHINGTON ELITE CRUD. YOU AND YOUR FAMILY VALUES WERE UNDER ATTACKED AS THEY REMINDED SOME INCLUDING AHSAY BELOW OF THE DAYS WHEN VALUES WERE IMPORTANT.

I hear the Annenberg FactCheck.org now has nothing to do without Sarah Palin rally smears to debunk. Some say Sarah excited ... I say she incited. Enough, good riddance, go some place quiet and read a newspaper for a few years.

joe -- enough already with the post mortem, it not to early to begin the fight. we do have weapons lets start with an economic boycott of General Electric owner of the NBC network. no one buys a GE product . dont let go of their toe until oberman is gone from MSMBC and they admit their incredible bias on the NBC network news. other subjects could include, the city of Chicago. the state of Virginia, and Del Monte Foods ( San Francisco based owner of Starkist Tuna)

Sarah is actually real smart and would be good for the country, if she were more informed, or at least good for Alaska. Well, at least good. She has potential, but they wanted her, probably because they feel she could be easily manipulated once in office. Sadly I suspect it's true, but a short course in mind control would make her immune. I'm afraid that Bush or McCain had no such preping. I wouldn't get too excited, the new pattern for the United States is for us all to watch each others back instead of trying to cut each other up. The new pattern is not just top down government, but top down/bottom up. We really do have to take back the government, as this is supposed to be a government of the people, by the people and for the people. Yes even the rich too. Trouble is that they own all the mainstream media. The FCC lets the licenses go to the highest bidder, and that means the richest of the rich. Where are the people's channels? We need to watch these companies and the government and insist on more transparency in both. But about the bottom up thing. For thousands of years government has been like a pyramid, with leadership all on the top. We thought the Bible used that model, but actually we have dominion over the earth and run it with advice and consent from God, but he doesn't run it. Neither should our leaders unless they serve. "He who would lead, must serve." Wouldn't God follow his own rule? We rule with his help, that's all. It's a co-venture, co-creators. We have a lot of leeway, but do we want the mess we've made? I think not. It's up to us to take it back and we have taken it back. Get in on the action, my friend. Al-Qaida is the enemy and who says even they can't be turned before any more of them do more harm. All the new technologies for that are amazing.

For all the urban elitists out there, there is life after Starbucks. There are some people that enjoy family as part of that life. As you look down from Mt. Condescending with your superior social intellect, (social because outside the social environment I don't think you could survive, Sarah could but you couldn't) please have mercy on those poor dumb hicks that manage the complexity of climate change (real climate change, not the state of fear Obama or Al Gore type), commodities markets, fuel prices, animal and insect infestation, organic diseases and family issues to survive with an independence you and your social colleagues call "cowboy". As a member of the "never failed, self esteem" educated generation, remember, if you throw up on the rural proletariat, you may starve to death and if you keep spitting on the returning vets, you will have to fight the terrorists. You could also move to San Fransisco, they have gentle people there.

My fellow Americans.I want to remind all of you that if the new administration would not have done like the Bush administration in the security matter I assure you that something terrible will happen. If you study the history of India you will know that hundreds of thousand of Hindu were killed by the Muslims. It was said long time ago that the third world will be the religion war. Many refugees from Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos were all victims of change.Millions people died and fled their beloved countries to live in the other land.

It will be a challenge for Palin now, after all the bad interviews. I think she is smart and has some experience, certainly more than Obama, but it is more important to sound marvelous than to be marvelous in our Hollywood culture. Check out gloomboom.com - it will change your day.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner's plan which proposes a sweeping expansion of federal authority over our financial system, breaks from an era in which the government stood back from financial markets and allowed participants to decide how much risk to take in the pursuit of profit. What does all this mean and have we come to the point where socialism is the answer to our problems as well as the worlds’ economic situation? The time has come for all good men to come to the aid of their country to prevent the takeover of socialism.
