Memo to Jim Bowden: "The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs are holding a job fair at Regency Furniture Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 from 10 am. to 1 p.m, in the Legends Club. "The team is looking for individuals to fill seasonal positions including grounds crew members, videographers, kid’s park attendants, parking attendants, food service assistants, ticketing assistants and many more. The season begins with Opening Day, April 23, 2009 and runs through September.
“'Working in baseball is a once in a lifetime experience' said Blue Crabs General Manager, Chris Allen. 'You get to share the joy of America’s favorite past time with fans all summer long. That’s not an opportunity a lot of people get.'
"Applicants must be 16 years of age and have working papers to be hired. Game Day Staff will receive free parking at the stadium throughout the 2009 season, limited tickets for games and discounted food and drinks while employed, along with designated pay.
"If getting to the job fair is not an option, candidates may still stop by the administrative offices at Regency Furniture Stadium and fill out an application form. Regency Furniture Stadium is located at 11765 St. Linus Drive. Waldorf, 20602. "For more information on the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs schedule, directions to the stadium or ticket information please go to www.SOMDbluecrabs.com or call 301-638-9788."
