Vick gets suspended sentence for dogfighting

Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick has pleaded guilty to state charges of dogfighting and has received a suspended 3-year sentence, the Atlanta Constitution-Journal is reporting.

Vick, who is serving a 23-month sentence on federal dogfighting charges, struck a plea deal that might allow him to re-enter the NFL sooner.

If Vick is allowed to re-enter the NFL, he's going to have a hard time finding a team.

He probably won't be allowed on any teams with animal mascots — real or fictional — and he probably won't be allowed on any teams with dog lovers.

So that just leaves the Oakland Raiders.
