← return to Out of Context

Capitol Hill staffers are complaining that they can't get a copy of the $789 billion stimulus bill because K Street lobbyists have it, Washington Whispers is reporting.

Congressional offices are receiving questions from reporters about the bill, which was approved last night, but staffers can't answer them because they haven't seen it, one staffer said.

Wow.  The stimulus bill got into the right hands very fast.  Nice work, Washington.

It's gratifying to know that the government's relationship with lobbyists has been severed  disrupted  slowed  changed.  We can believe in that.
