Antawn Jamison will give it a go tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers, two days after straining his left thumb in the first quarter of a loss to the Detroit Pistons.
Jamison was listed as a game-time decision and came in this evening and told coach Ed Tapscott that he was ready to go. Tap said to go out and try his warmup first and Jamison did and came back reporting he was still ready to play.
Fortunately for Jamison, it's his left hand, and he's right-handed. The Wizards will try to take advantage of a Philly team that is without Elton Brand, who suffered a dislocated shoulder on Wednesday and is out for a month.
The Wizards will go with the same starting lineup: James, Stevenson, Butler, Jamison and McGee. Philly will start forwards Andre Iguodala, Thaddeus Young, center Samuel Dalembert and guards Willie Green and Andre Miller.
