Hard to believe it, right? 29 games into the season and it's the first time the Wizards have won two games in a row? But, it's true. And what makes the win over Houston more impressive is the fact that it came without Caron Butler, and that one of the highlights was that the Wizards out-rebounded Yao Ming and the Rockets.

Washington, despite being undersized, finished with a 41-29 rebounding advantage. Two Wizards -- Antawn Jamison (12), Andray Blatche (8) had more or as many rebounds as 7-foot-6 Yao (eight). And Dominic McGuire had seven rebounds to go with six assists and two steals and four blocks. You've got to like a guy like Dom. His game is total hustle and complete selflessness. At times he's almost too selfless. There was an instance in tonight's game where he was right under the hoop but zipped the ball out to the perimeter to Jamison. After a time out was called a short time later, Ed Tapscott told Dom it IS OK to shoot the ball in situations like that.

One of the keys for the Wizards was remaining fresh down the stretch. Tap expanded his rotation in the first half so players that he would need late in the game would get some rest. It worked and the Wizards continued to attack the boards late in the game, and were able to survive that charge by the Rockets.

Caron Butler said in the locker room after the game that he doesn't know how bad his ankle is, and that it swole up again after the flight to Houston. He tried to give it a go, but it was still too painful and stiff. He will try again Tuesday in New Orleans, but was encouraged by his teammates' play the last two games and because of it feels less pressure to rush back and risk further injury.
