This eight-game stretch that was supposed to be a run toward redemption for the Wizards is halfway done now, and the wins against those eight losing-record-holding opponents have not come.

The Wizards will try once again to get it right tomorrow when they head to the Big Apple to take on the Knicks at MSG, and then on Friday they'll play the Knicks at home.

Ed Tapscott said the key to preparing for New York is "Transition, transition, transition." The Knicks, as they've seen twice this year, are kinda like the Milwaukee Bucks, only in high gear as they sprint down the court pop a 3 or score on a fast break.

The key for the Wizards, as always, is remembering that they can't try to engage in that shoot-out style of play. But will they remember it in the clutch? That's the question.

Otherwise today, all was quiet as the Wizards had an early, quick practice and then headed for the airport. Antawn Jamison, who ended up playing more minutes than anyone on the team last night despite that strained right patella tendon, was out of practice today as a precautionary measure, but he should play tomorrow.
