The Washington Wizards are on the verge of sending the fifth overall pick in Thursday's draft and veteran center Etan Thomas, and forwards Darius Songaila and Oleksiy Pecherov to Minnesota in exchange for swingman Mike Miller and Randy Foye, multiple league source confirmed this evening.
The Wizards need to finalize a bit of paperwork involving Thomas' contract before the deal can be finalized. Thomas, who will receive a $1.2 million trade kicker, must sign an agreement he won't opt out of his current deal on July 1 to pursue free agency. Thomas is expected to sign the agreement Wednesday morning.
The Wizards still hold the 32nd pick of the draft.
