President Bush, staying in Washington an extra day before leaving for his Texas ranch, will head today to CIA headquarters in Langley, Va.
He'll receive a 30-minute briefing at 11 a.m. on U.S. efforts in the war on terror, and then a second 30-minute briefing on the situation in Georgia, where reports indicate that Russia continues to violate a ceasefire.
One of the difficulties for the White House has been responding to the multitude of reports coming out of Georgia about where Russian troops are in the former Soviet bloc territory, what they're doing, and whether Russia is honoring the commitment it made Tuesday to cease hostilities.
After his briefings, the president will have lunch with CIA employees.
He is expected on Friday to head to his ranch in Crawford, Tx, for a two-week vacation that now looks to be dominated by the ongoing situation in the Caucasus.
