Quick impressions from the HOF Game

Quarterback Jason Campbell followed his strong second week of practice with a very sharp performance in the Redskins' preseason opener. Ditto for receivers Antwaan Randle El and Santana Moss, who've both looked good throughout camp.

Seventh-round defensive end Rob Jackson has passrushing potential. Cocky fourth-round cornerback Justin Tryon is not as ready for prime time as he thinks he is. Seventh-round safety Chris Horton is a hitter in games as well as practice.

Offensive tackles Chris Samuels, Jon Jansen and Stephon Heyer aren't ready for their matchup with the New York Giants' passrush a month from tomorrow. Strong safety Reed Doughty better hope that it was just an off night.

Sixth-round quarterback Colt Brennan, the former Hawaii star, looked better in his first game than he does in drills, lofting pretty passes to Billy McMullen and then to Maurice Mann for the touchdown.

And while Jim Zorn has been terrific to deal since the maroon-and-black gaffe of his first press conference, saying "There is nothing more remarkable than" being able to score on the first drive is the overstatement of the month.
