Rocky's back (and other injury news)

← return to Redskins 360

The Redskins are back on the field for the first time since May 8 and the big news is that Rocky McIntosh is back at his usual weakside linebacker spot for the first time since he tore an ACL against Chicago last Dec. 2.

On the other hand, cornerback Shawn Springs, safety LaRon Landry and guard Pete Kendall, who all skipped the offseason "voluntary" workouts this spring but returned for minicamp and the first OTA sessions, are all absent again. So is receiver Santana Moss, whom the Redskins say has the flu after his three-day 29th birthday celebration this past weekend. However, tight end Chris Cooley, who got married 10 days ago, is on hand.

And on the sidelines still rehabbing are cornerback Carlos Rogers (knee), safety Kareem Moore (knee), receiver Antwaan Randle El (knee) and tight end Tyler Ecker (groin). So are newly-acquired defensive end Erasmus James (knee) and safety Vernon Fox. Rookie quarterback Colt Brennan, coming off knee surgery, took part in individual drills.
