Eight Redkins sit out game

By David Elfin on Sept. 14, 2008 into Redskins 360

I think paying players to sit is stupid, but here are Washington's inactives today: safeties Reed Doughty (virus) and Kareem Moore, linebackers Khary Campbell (thigh) and Marcus Washington (hamstring), offensive linemen Jason Fabini and Chad Rinehart, defensive end Rob Jackson and third quarterback Colt Brennan.

Tight end Buck Ortega, who was in camp with Washington in 2006 and was a close friend of late Redskins safety Sean Taylor, was promoted to the active roster by the Saints.

By the way, the Redskins are wearing their white jerseys and white pants in attempt to beat the heat.
