Vinny Show, segments 2-3

By Ryan O'Halloran on Sept. 19, 2008 into Redskins 360

  • Subscribe

The third segments starts with Mel Kiper, Jr., calling in to chat about the Broncos and fill some time. Remember, this is a two-hour show. Mel refers to Cerrato as Vin. He talks about how in the old days there was a 4- and 5-year plan for quarterbacks and developing them.

10:33 a.m.: Vinny switches to Virginia and how losing Peter Lalich impacts the team. Methinks they should stick with Redskins and Redskins only. Mel correctly says the Cavs stink. Mel says Duke could beat Virginia next week.

10:35 a.m.: George cuts off Mel Dukes not local.

10:36 a.m.: Mel again calls Cerrato Vin. The talk turns to Maryland football and how a star offensive player for the Terps and then shifts to Virginia Tech-North Carolina. George has to be saying, And Im getting paid for this? To listen?

10:38 a.m.: Good subject change by George, who asks Mel about where he had safety Chris Horton. Mel calls him one of the top five senior safeties last year and he gave him a second-round grade. He was around the ball and a tough kid. I think Vinny Cerrato stole this kid, Mel says. Vinny says Horton dropped because of a sub-par 40 time.
