Springs can't escape Owens

Remember the infamous "Sharpie" incident of 2002 when Terrell Owens, then playing for the 49ers, scored a touchdown and pulled a Sharpie out of his sock so he could autograph the football? Shawn Springs was the Seahawks defender on the play in their first year as division rivals after five years on the same coast but in separate conferences.

Two years later, Springs signed with the Redskins and T.O. was traded to the Eagles. T.O. stayed in the NFC East when he moved on to the Cowboys in 2006. And now T.O. has followed Springs to the AFC East, signing with the Bills less than a week after Shawn inked a deal with the Patriots.

That will make three divisions in eight seasons in which the offseason workout pals will duel twice a year. Springs turns 34 tomorrow. Owens turned 35 back in December. This rivalry can't go much longer can it?
