The highlight of the morning practice was the one-on-one skirmishes between the offensive and defensive linemen.
Starting right guard Randy Thomas and reserve center Will Montgomery were the only O-lineman to clearly win his two tests, beating starting left end Phillip Daniels and reserve tackle Michael Marquardt, respectively.
Rookie linebacker Brian Orakpo, defensive tackles Albert Haynesworth, Cornelius Griffin, Kedric Golston and Lorenzo Alexander and defensive end Renaldo Wynn got the better of Chris Samuels, Derrick Dockery, Casey Rabach, Chad Rinehart and Jeremy Bridges.
Offensive tackles Stephon Heyer and Mike Williams battled linebacker Chris Wilson and end Andre Carter to draws.
Rookie free agent defensive tackle Antonio Dixon was held out of the morning with back spasms as was veteran linebacker Robert Thomas with a fever. Williams sprained an ankle during the lengthy 11-on-11 drills that concluded the practice.
